Volunteer
Volunteers provide support to Habitat ReStores in a wide variety of ways. ReStores strive to keep operating costs as low as possible to maximize the amount of money that goes directly to benefit your community, and volunteers are one of the ways to achieve this.
Volunteer Opportunities
We offer several opportunities to build or repair homes with families, in addition to volunteer work opportunities at your local Habitat ReStore. You can even invite your friends and family to join us. No experience required. We value teamwork, personality, and dedication to the cause of helping eliminate poverty housing one used hammer, door, washing machine, couch, or toilet at a time! Spend a few hours a week, a few a month, or make it your mission and join us more often.
Our volunteers and staff work hard to receive and process donations, stock and merchandise product, provide excellent customer service to our amazing shoppers and donors, and help keep the store tidy and user friendly.
Some of the tasks you can help with:
Customer Service
Cashier
Product sorting, staging and pricing
Stock shelves and merchandise displays
Build racking and fixtures
Heavy lifting and loading
Donation truck assistant
Teach a class or do a demonstration
Staff a booth at an outreach event
Our staff at the ReStores are dedicated to providing top-notch training and support to our incredible crew of volunteers on a daily basis.
Volunteer Through Habitat For Humanity
Looking to further your volunteering experience? Join Habitat For Humanity and make a difference in your community. Join a local build event and help a family build their new home. Become a traveling volunteer and you can travel with Habitat for Humanity to build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter, or become a long term volunteer and get volunteer opportunities in the U.S. and around the world.
